The second series of After the Flood finds newly promoted detective Jo Marshall on the trail of a baffling murder investigation. As tensions simmer in Waterside amid the rising threat of moorland fires and the subsequent risk of further flooding, a body is discovered in bizarre circumstances. Jo's race to stop the killer will put her in opposition to dark,  influential forces within the town, and ultimately take her on a much more personal investigation.
