Moving forward in to the 21 st Century,  Selim Hodj a (Serhat Kilic) is a  descend ent of the  family  that commiss ioned the Kor an we saw  in the prefa ce. Selim has f allen on hard t imes and he wants to sell t he rare ho ly book, an d he tur ns to Ahmet (Mehme t Ali Nuroglu ), an art ist and calli grapher who ha s just f inished a stretch in pr ison, f or help in fin ding a buyer.  Not willing t o negotiate the black mar ket for religio us arti facts by himsel f, Ahmet turns to Cengi z (Must afa Uzunyi lmaz), a f eared m an in l ocal organiz ed crime cir cles, w ho says he can  help them  find a good price for the rare Ko ran.
